What's changed
Standard assignment marking for legacy progress reports has moved from Hifz Tracking to Academic Activity, making it easier to grade, find and help keep Hifz tracking focused on Hifz alone.
Class Work marks on this report now come from the Academic Activity section only. Hifz daily grading no longer rolls up into this report automatically — for a subject's class work to appear, a teacher must create an activity for that subject under Academic Activity and grade the students on it. See Where Class Work Marks Come From at the bottom of this page.

Where Class Work Marks Come From
When you tick Class Work Out of on an Exam Group, the report pulls those marks from the Academic Activity section only — Madrasah / School → Academic Activity.
Marks entered under Quran Hifz Assignments (Sabaq, Sabaq Para, Dour, Test Para) are not included. Hifz Tracking remains a record of Hifz progress and is reported on separately.
This means that if a teacher only grades Hifz, the Class Work column on this report will be blank for that subject. The teacher must create the equivalent activity under Academic Activity and grade it there.
Checklist — what must be true for a Class Work mark to appear

A subject with no qualifying, graded activity in the term simply has no class work — it is not scored as zero.
If the Class Work column is blank or shows "-"
Work down this list. The first item is by far the most common cause.
The activity's Due Date sits outside the Exam Group's term. The report filters on the Due Date, not on the date you entered the marks. An activity marked in March but dated February will not appear in a March–April term.
The category is attached to a different subject than the one on the exam. The subject on the category must match the exam subject exactly.
The category Type is Non-Scored. Only Scored categories carry marks into the report.
Ignore in Calculation is ticked on the activity.
The category or the activity is Disabled.
The student's score was left blank. Students with no saved score are skipped for that activity.
The teacher graded in Quran Hifz Assignments instead of Academic Activity. Those marks no longer feed this report.
Good to know: if a subject has exam marks but no class work, the exam mark carries the full weight for that subject and the student is not penalised. Only when a subject has neither exam marks nor class work does it show "-" on the report card.
