How to Reduce Image File Size for a Faster Website
Optimizing images is essential for improving website speed and performance. Large images slow down page loading times, affecting user experience and SEO rankings. here is a simple way to compress and resize images effectively.
1. Compress Images Without Losing Quality
To reduce file size while maintaining quality, use an image compression tool. These tools remove unnecessary data, making images smaller and faster to load. There are many online and offline tools available, the one we like at ad-din is an open source called Caesium Image Compressor (Windows, Mac, Linux)
Though we recommend downloading latest version from their website, but you can download and older version 2.8.2 from below which we have tested here as well.

Download the above software on your laptop, for windows its a portable version no installation requried.
Unzip the file and place it in a directory of your choice.
Unblock the file by right click and go to properties
Double click on the .exe file to launch it.
Setup the compression to 60%
Configure the Resize to 70% of original resolution. If your image is too large, resizing it can significantly reduce file size.
Setup the output folder where compressed image will be placed.
That's is drag the file in you want to compress in this area and click on compress
Monitor the output folder and use these images to upload to your ad-din powered websites.
